Design‑Smart Adapters That Save You Money
Sliding one of these space‑gray nubs into my MacBook feels like it belongs there—the matte aluminum shell matches the laptop’s finish, sits nearly flush with the edge, and is so small (under an inch long) that it doesn’t hog neighboring ports. Design aside, the adapters are delightfully “set‑and‑forget”: no drivers, no apps, just instant recognition the moment a thumb drive clicks in. I’ve enjoyed seeing old USB‑A peripherals spring back to life, and 10 Gbps throughput means a multi‑gig video folder scoots across in roughly half the time it used to on a legacy port.Daily use highlights how thoughtfully these were built. The female USB‑A end holds devices firmly—maybe a touch too firmly for dainty fingers—but that tight bite keeps even heavy external SSDs from sagging. Chamfered edges make it easy to line up blindly, and each adapter’s slim profile lets two sit side‑by‑side without playing port Tetris. Extended transfers warm the metal housing, though it never crosses from “toasty” to “ouch,” and the occasional need to flip the adapter for certain enclosures is a minor learning curve rather than a flaw. Charging results vary by gadget; game controllers gulp power quickly, while an older Android tablet only sips. All told, this four‑pack delivers a handsome, pocket‑friendly solution that makes the USB‑C transition painless. At well under ten bucks you get sturdy construction, speedy transfers, and true plug‑and‑play convenience—small wonders that keep legacy cables out of the trash and simplify life on the go. If you value sleek design and zero‑effort usability, these belong in every laptop bag.

Great Adapter for older USB A drives.
I bought these as I have many USB-A drives. Mostly USB-A 2.0 and 3.0. When I use the drives on my regular USB-A drive, it's slow to write. I went on Amazon and found these adapters. The write speed is much faster on Type-C than using USB-A. It isn't blazing fast, though. I timed two USB-A 2.0 drives, one with the Type-C adapter and the other without. I copied a folder containing MP4s which were 3 GB. The Adapter version wrote the files within a few minutes, while the other took much longer. The build quality on the adapter is great. Buy they can get warm to hot as, especially when you copy files to it.Putting a USB-A drive into, and pulling it out, can be tight. It took some force to get it in and pull it out. But it fits just fine in the Type-C ports. Charging speeds vary, but it looks like it charges my gaming controllers fast, but not my A9+ tablet. It either disconnects and charges slow. But that's due to the tablet. When I use a regular Type-C charger, the tablet charges fast. For the value for the money, I got four adapters under ten dollars. All work great.I would buy more products from UGreen. I like that they offer great stuff for a low price.

Thermals are low, throttling not experienced with these yet either…
Fits my HP Victus 15L and M4 Pro MacBook Pro without issue. It runs my USB Hub on my monitor too.Glad I went with these, they definitely beat out a few other brands I had tried but their thermal throttling was brutal. I have not had that issue here (and the thermals here are warm, but not dangerously so).

Good quality adapters, Meets max speeds, Very tight attachment to USB-A
Just like most other high quality adapters that go between USB-C and USB-A in either direction, these max out the speeds of the USB-A spec. Whatever highest speed you'd get plugging your USB-A device directly into a USB-A port you'll probably at least get out of this adapter. The actual grip of the USB-A port is quite tight, so I'd say that you should be aware that your USB-A device could get stuck in the adapter. The thickness of the shell is perfect. Just enough to stay stable, not too much to make it bulky.Decent cost for what it is, definitely get these if you need this kind of adapter, don't cheap out.

Firm push works great!
Helped me with Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard that are USB-A. At first, I thought it didn't fit. But figured out you must give it a firm push and it snaps together quite nicely. Works perfectly with Mac Mini 2024 M4 which only has USB-C input.

Convenient versatility
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Exactly what I needed to avoid multiple cables for my various electronics that need charging. The ability to have these handy is convenient at the very least.

Does Exactly What It's Supposed To
Inexpensive and do exactly what they're supposed to. Great when half the accessory companies still insist on USB-A. Barbarians.

Does exactly what it’s suppose to! ;)
Works well:Did exactly what was expected - supported dongle use for wireless mouse (that came in USB-A only). Thanks Apple for not having both!! I bought these because a more expensive docking port with multiple options did not support Dongle for wireless mouse (I tried two different mice and dongles). It also works when charging from USB-C outlet in the wife’s new car, another item that should have both types!!
