Very simple, yet effective item!
Such a simple item that makes a huge difference! I was getting seriously annoyed looking at my gross microwave with splatter all over the top and sides. I would clean it, but it would just happen again as my husband never covers anything that goes in there and I was only covering stuff maybe 50% of the time. If you are heating something "wet" you don't want a paper towel touching it and getting stuck, but if you use cling wrap or plastic wrap, most of the time it just melts away into your food any way. I only had a few dishes with matching lids for the microwave, so I was ready to try something else.At first, I was going to look into the ones with the magnet on top that you can leave in the microwave, but then I was reading the odd review about sparks and mini fires starting from them and decided I didn't want to deal with that--repeatedly microwaving a magnet didn't sound like a good idea any way, so I just went with this plastic lid.It is the perfect size for our regular large dinner plates and covers everything so there is no chance for splatter--plus I noticed if I immediately take the dirty lid over the sink after removing it from the microwave and run warm water over it, just about anything will come right off of it immediately and its ready to use again. This way you don't really have to "wash" it every single time--though soap and water did magic for it too. This is a great item and I absolutely love having a clean microwave for once. Plus its pretty cheap, definitely worth it!

This is different than other microwave food covers for a reason: it's better!
I really like this lid; the handle makes it easy to remove even when there's hot steam inside the cover. I keep it upside down to air out afterwards, because there will be a lot of condensation on the inside of the lid. The plastic is thick and it seems to be just fine with high temperatures.I haven't gotten much spatter on it yet so I can't estimate how well it will clean, but based on the softness of the material I'm going to guess it's poly-polypropylene, PETE, or LDPE, so I'm figuring it will absorb spaghetti sauce a little bit like the cheap plastic containers you buy deli slices in, but I'm ok with that because it's not an expensive item and that's its purpose. It fits terrific on the glass of a full-size microwave (1100 watt unit) and it's both tall enough to not touch the food and short enough to probably work in 700 watt microwaves. The size is perfect!

It's a Keeper!
I love this little dome for microwaving. It is sturdy, but flexible. Other micro covers have been brittle / cheap plastic and easily crack. It has a vent at the top so I can adjust the moisture that is released from cooking. The dome cleans easily with a damp cloth and the handle is removable. It can be washed with detergent for more visible splatter. I especially like the design with the handle that makes the cover easy to lift. No fumbling around like I did with the standard microwave covers or with a plate as a cover. The product is as described, came well packed and on time. It fits my larger plates with its 10" diameter. It's a winner in our family.

great value
Hey, for the price I paid, this has been great. Separate handle so you don't burn your hands. The dome shape actually fits our dishes better than our old one that had a flat top - I like that the top doesn't touch the food in the bowl. Throw in the dishwasher to clean without needing to be disassembled. Adjustable vent.UPDATE: Going strong for 1.5 years and still love it! The top disc is loose so it pops off often, but I just pop it back in and it's fine. If I ever lose or break this one, I hope they will still be making them so I can buy again.

Good product...a tad small
great product. I have not had problems with sweating at all, but I read that a lot of folks have. It is a tad small and if food is to the edge of the place this device is setting on the food, thus my 4 stars. Maybe we have big plates. However, it is easy to clean, so no big deal. I like the handle as it makes it easy to get off of the plate without touching your food and without getting any steam burns that could come from grabbing it at the base. Seems quality so far.

sturdy
I was pleasingly surprised by the solidness of this cover. Also, it is easy to reach in and grab the handle from an average microwave. I love the handle. Some say it comes off, but I have been using it for 3 months, and it hasn't come loose yet. It is necessary to turn the cover over when removing it to avoid dripping the moisture that has gathered, but I don't find that bothersome since my last cover of 15 years did the same thing. I usually use it to warm leftovers in a soup bowl or lunch size plate. Although it does cover a correlle dinner plate piled high (10.25 in), it sits on the edge of the plate. But that works fine.

Great to Grab!!!
2. This is my second order -- I burned the first one up (couldn't get rid of the burnt order), and loved it so much, I immediately ordered another.1. I had recently burned (steam) my hand several times with my microwave cover, and spotted this one in a catalog. Looked for it on Amazon, found it, and ordered it. I've only had the cover for about 5 days, but REALLY like it. It's easy to grab (even if it's facing backward when you open the door) and large enough to cover my Fiestaware plates. Thank you for coming up with a "better mousetrap!"

I do like the height of it
It works. The basic job of keeping food contained and not splattered all over the microwave is accomplished. I do like the height of it. However, when speaking to the quality of it, the plastic started doing that melty thing after just a few uses, and it’s hard to clean red sauce out of those spots now. It appears to have settled into its finished state of plastic deterioration, not getting any worse than what it looks like now. I have a regular 1100 watt microwave and haven’t put this thing through any kind of abnormal abuse. I’ve also had the problem that others mentioned of the handle popping off, but I’m glad that I got a black handle instead of the orange one.
