Good Sound But........
Updated Review:You can read my original posting below. This review is based on my most recent communications with Start Vision. After having return the item, I was contacted by the company who graciously offered to provide me with a new speaker. The first speaker I received may be been defective. They claim to stand behind their products and went above and beyond to provide great customer service to make sure I was satisfied with the new speaker. I received the new item within a couple days and this time the installation went seamlessly. I can now report that the speaker connects to my laptop, iPhone and tablet and using HiCam app with, the camera works as promised, and for its size the sound quality is very good. In comparison to what you would pay for comparable speakers at retailers, this speaker/camera is a great value for your money.Original posting:I purchased this bluetooth speaker for the camera and to listen to music I have on my laptop, iphone and tablet. After unpacking and charging it, I was able to link it easily to my iphone, however, after much troubleshooting I was unable to connect to my Dell laptop or Asus tablet, neither would recognize the speaker. I checked the company's website if perhaps I needed a driver but there was none. I tried connecting the speaker directly to my laptop and tablet but it still would not recognize it. I then downloaded the HiCam app to my phone to connect the camera. At first it looked liked like it was about to work, I was able to get an image from the camera but it then froze. I waited for a while and nothing happened so I uninstalled and re-installed the app several times and reset the speakers to the factory settings. The app installation would then get to a certain point then stop. At this point I looked for a local US number on the company website I could call for tech support but there was none so I submitted my problem/question through the company's website. The next day I received a response which basically guided me through the installation process that was already on the installation instructions that came with the speaker. I then again emailed back with more specifics on my problem, they responded with some additional steps I could take but I still could not get the app to install. When I asked why my laptop doesn't recognize the speaker, their response was that my laptop does not recognize it. Duh! I already knew that. After a few times corresponding back and forth, I told them I would be returning the speaker and suggested they get local tech support. It was only then that they offered to have someone call me after 6pm PST. I had returned it by then.

Terrible recording
The audio is terrible it echos when u try to record and you can hear it in the speaker so everyone can hear that you are recording

This unit is total junk!!
Don't waste your time or money on this. The software does not work and they haven't fixed it. I can't get connection to the internet and the app needed for this unit is even worse. If your going to waste money , find something better to waste it on!
