Excellent, best cat watering device I've ever used.
The media could not be loaded. I've had a cat in the family for more years than not and have tried a variety of watering devices and paid attention given the feline propensity to drink less than it should. This is the best I have ever used, not to mention one of the least expensive.I like the relatively small (5.25") diameter "bowl" as the less surface area to collect fur and other cat detritus the better. The design is elegantly simple. It's a cylindrical container of water holding approximately 1.5 liters. In the center of the base is a submersible pump which sends water from the bottom of the tank silently up a straight tube into the center of the bowl with enough pressure to cause a "fountain" in the center of the bowl rising about 1n inch from the water surface. The bowl itself is actually perforated plastic with bags of charcoal within. This is a bit of over-kill as by design you are to replace the entire plastic "bowl" in order to change the filter material. They are available on Amazon for $14 for 3 and could be a lot less if just the filter bags could be replaced. In any case, still worth it.The filters are a bit difficult to locate as they are not accurately described. You can find them here:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GNQF9Y5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The only caveat I would include is that this may not work for a kitten as the height of the bowl is about 5.25". My cat was at first confounded because she was used to drinking from a bowl at floor level, but soon got it together and now seems happy with it save for her nose getting wet the first couple of tries.

I can’t believe how quiet this thing is!
Cats love it! I had bought a different one before this one and I can’t believe how quiet this is!!! Both my Mom and sister have the “other” kind with the flower in the middle. That’s the one I got and it was super loud. I thought I would just have to deal with it but that one broke almost immediately so I got this instead. I also love a few things - the style is very “Apple” like and sleek. I love it has a USB plug and normal plug - I have a power strip with USB outlets added so this takes one of those instead of taking up a regular outlet. (But again - it comes with the end for a regular plug). I also like on the power cable you can unplug in the middle. So when you need to clean it, refill it you don’t have to drag the entire cord. Then viola! Plug it back in and it’s ready to go. I hope this will last me a while.

Beautiful, works great, a little pricey but worth it
This is like the Ferrari of water fountains... it’s a little ‘wonky’ to put together... follow directions CAREFULLY & save them bc trust me- you’ll forget! Good news is, it doesn’t seems to need cleaning as often as our other bubbling or fountain bowls, it makes zero noise- I almost forget to check the water! And you do have to take to top off to add water but that’s simple. It’s sturdy & actually looks very stylish in a room! My one cat loves fountains - this is a cross between a fountain & a bubbler.... it bubbles too much for my 2nd cat (the one scared of his own shadow) but it’s not quite a fountain. Our cat who loves her other Niagra-Falls-like fountain, likes this one too. A little pricey but the filters last long & hey, nothing but the best for our fur babies! Oh- and it pretty much comes almost completely assembled when you get it & comes with a filter, which look like a plastic frisbee!

Great water fountain. Had a scare when the motor stopped working.
I usually don't post reviews but the case of this water fountain I'm going to.I order this back in November 2019 for my cats. My oldest one loves this water fountain and today when it stopped working he was distressed. I read other reviews here about the motor stopped working and verified that the motor had also stopped working. I did some tests on it trying different plugs and USB adapters, all with the same results.I took the motor casing apart as much as possible without breaking any of the seals and let it dry for a few hours. I went back to it and tested and the motor started to work. As I was putting it back together my cat jumped up on the counter and couldn't wait to get his water. Now it's running again and he's happy. So while it's a great water fountain with its nice design, ease of assembly and quiet motor, if you have a motor scare disassemble it, let it dry out and hopefully you can get the motor to work again like I did.

So far so good - cat loves it
We've been using this fountain for over a month now, and it seems to be doing great. The first impression is that it is a bit noisy, but very quickly it just becomes background noise and has not been an issue. We've taken it apart to clean it once, and as long as you pay attention to what order you take it apart in, getting it back together is easy. I ordered extra filters when I purchased, but we have not had to replace a filter - just rinsed it out. The best thing is that our (getting older) cat really likes it and seems to have increased her water consumption, which is great for her health. We did leave her old water dish near the new fountain for a couple of weeks so she could switch at her own pace. One thing we have definitely found is that she is much less likely to drop kibble in the fountain. I don't know why, but it used to be a problem with her water dish, and she just seems to not need to do that with the fountain.

Words of advice.
Fountains are a great way to entice cats to drink more.Words of advice, be mindful that the filter MUST be changed a minimum of every 14 days. Even if bottled water is used. And, if you use tap water, depending on the water in your area and how many animals are drinking from the fountain, filters may require changing more frequently like every 5 days. All of these fountains have a piece of foam around the pump which catches particles, hair etc. but I can't find replacements. If the companies who make these fountains would make it easier to find the replacement parts, including the pump in case it goes out it would help those of us who like to use them for our pets water needs. The fountains are made in China and there are too many companies who stamp their name on the units and often there is a slight variation in filters, and other parts. Maybe Amazon should have stricter guidelines that include all replaceable parts "for that particular fountain" as part of the listing.

Good product... when it works...
The fountain is pretty and so silent than when it stopped working I didn't know! So if I left for a few days, my cats would be dead... the engine just stopped after 3 months and the seller won't replace it!So it could be a good product but with no working engine, it's pretty worthless ... I don't recommend it, don't waste your money on this item!
