Fine for my needs.
For for my needs (just experimenting with antennas).Didn't come on a drum. It was just looped and in a plastic bag. Would have preferred a box at least to protect it in the post but it looks to have arrived intact so that's ok.Other than that all seems good with it so far.

OK for the price, I suppose
Lots of internal breaks, so a fair bit of wastage.

low power coax
good for antenna experiments and 1/2 wave stubs but not a low losscoax at most frequencies.

Worst cable ever
I have been using RG58 cable for the last 40 years plus in a professional position and never had a cable as poor as this, I should have realised looking at the picture of the cable the braid looks thin and flimsy, but I trusted Eletrosmart, big mistake. When soldering the centre core discolours and burns, The joint between the pin on a PL259/6 plug and the centre core does not bond. I was able to pull back the cable through the pin after soldering!! The braid is thin and brittle. I mainly use this nowadays for making patch leads to use on transceivers. The 1st two I made played havoc with the SWR and were removed. I replaced with some old cable I purchased some 5/6 years ago using the same PL259/6 plugs as on the new cable. This time no problems, all soldered 100%. This cable is in my opinion very low grade and not fit for purpose.I contacted Electrosmart giving them chance to explain before leaving feedback who apologised for the problem saying:"I've soldered the cable without any trouble, but I would recommend using no more than a 25W Iron for best results and soldering at high temp will cause issues. It is fairly low cost cable but will do the job. We do stock a higher spec RG58 but it is over twice the price".I am now left with 50mts of useless RG58 cable and out of pocket financially. It looks like the supplier is not prepared to compensate. I will not use this cable and risk damaging my £1500 worth of radios and accessories. Be warned, be careful. Very upset and cheated P.
