Now using two of these
These are a great alternative to the short cables that came with some monitors, the original cables were too short to be able to keep desks tidy by routing the cables out of sight. These are available in a decent length and work perfectly with the USB hubs built into my monitors.Very pleased.

I can report no short circuits therefore safe to use
A warning to everyone: Cheap Chinese USB 3.0 can destroy your computer. I MUST POINT OUT THAT THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO THIS CABLE.I purchased a USB 3.0 cable at a large electrical suppliers and the cable was claimed to be tested which was reassuring. I tried the cable in my 2nd PC which is an old X48 chipset PC with PCI-e v1.1 and 2 x PCI-e v2.0 x16 slots. I purchased a Delock 89359 2xUSB 3.0 & 2xSATA 6Gb PCI-e x4 card because the X48 PC does not include these features.I plugged the cable in and it destroyed both the Delock card AND the PCI-e x16 slot. I tested the cable, something that I now do with all USB cables, with my multimeter and found that it had a short circuit, 5V power to Ground which drew a very large current through the Delock card and PCI-e slot destroying both. The first thing that I did when I received this Lindy cable was to test it for any short circuits which might damage my main PC. It passed, no incorrect connections so safe to use. I have since used it to connect a Dual drive docking bay which I use to access my backup drives. It serves it's purpose perfectly. It's a shame that it is black coloured but you cannot have everything. The faulty Chinese cable was white BTW.

Great for Astrophotography
I use this to connect a Pegasus Astro USB Control Hub with a laptop, the extra length that the 5m cable gives means that the laptop can be located a safe distance away from the telescope.

Does the job
Bought to connected external HDD enclosure my my laptop while working from home. This drive was unhappy with being connected via a 5m long cable so I bought this one, which is a more appropriate length and drives have worked perfectly since.

Solid cable with USB 3.0 performance
Bought three of these to connect my Yottamaster RAID 5 rigs to my Synology DS1019+. The cables feel robust and not flimsy, and the performance is what it should be when running hard disk tests on the Synology to the external RAID rigs. Can't fault them at all.

Fast data transfers, Flexible, Extra-long.
This cable works perfectly connecting my desktop computer to my Dell monitor's built-in USB hub.Although I didn't really want to buy a very long cable, I chose the 5-metre version because I had to zigzag across monitor arm stand, then under the table until it reached its destination and I wanted it to be long enough from the monitor to the PC.ยท The cable seems to be very well built with connectors that actually look pretty good (if that matters to you) โ and it is flexible enough to get where you need them to go without issue.ยท The transfer speed was great on my first test with an external SSD. I've not experienced any noticeable reduction in processing speed.Highly recommended!
