These are great cognac sniffers.They are outstanding buys for what they are meant to be, To hold and sip fine cognac or brandy with.The fat bottom of these relatively large size (25+ Oz) allows the cognac spirits to open up while the smaller sized opening concentrates the beautiful fragrance under your nose as you drink from them.For cognac, the larger size is purely space to open up the cognac’s fragrance, not to fill it up with liquid. You pour a bit of a decent cognac and you will find it will taste much better in these glasses.And the great cognacs will taste amazing. (You’ll feel like the drink is evaporating into your nose!)Worth every penny. Each time you drink you’ll increase the enjoyment value.Of course you could also use it for other things such as to drink red wine for similar reasons, to open the bouquet. And unlike cognac you may pour much more wine at once. But people are tempted to toast wine glasses, and you will chatter these if you do.To all the folks giving this 1 star and complaining “it broke after I dropped one ice cube” you are totally missing the whole point of these glasses. And should probably not be buying them.You shouldn’t be using ice with these glasses they are to sniff what you drink, not smother it with ice. They are so fragile the ice will easily break it. No glass toasting either.The thinness and shape are specifically designed to release the fragrance.The way it works, you hold the glass with your palm facing up holding the fat bottom bowl (not the stem): This way your hand will warm up the liquid inside the thin glass, further releasing the aroma.A truly magnificent thing.The size, shape, and thinness make this a relative cheap way to make your drinks even more enjoyable and tasty.Cheers!(Cigars and drinks not included):)PS: Wonder if the vendor realizes how fragile these glasses are. They ship very poorly packaged in boxes NOT even marked fragile.It may be only a matter of time before Amazon stops selling them.

Came on time and is very good quality

Only comment is that they are thin glass and break, so you need to handle them gently. I've broken 2 so far...

The purpose of a brandy glass's unique shape is to collect vapors for imbibing, and this product is very well configured. I usually get two sneezes from my evening digestif when using it, and sometimes as many as four.

These are very thin, light, and fragile. They feel like cheap plastic rather than glass. I wanted something thick and sturdy, which these are not. I would have been willing to pay more to have something nice and long lasting. I'd be embarrassed to present these to guests, and I know it's only a matter of time before they break. The overall diameter and height is perfect, but the top diameter is too narrow, which makes them very difficult to clean without them breaking on my hand. I'm so tired of ordering stuff on Amazon only to find it's completely different from what I was expecting. I really wish retail stores would carry more merchandise and a greater selection, so I could see what I'm getting before I buy it. I will most likely return them if I can find the time to take them down to UPS or Kohls.

They are good and I have never owned them before. It was the request of an English cousin who is determined to learn this colonial some couth. I also bought expensive cognac, armagnac, and a $20.00 plastic bottle of Canadian brandy with a screw cap. Now I get it, the snifter is held in the palm of the hand and that warms the contents and releases some light hydrocarbons and you get to sniff it before you drink it. The French stuff smelled like some kind of industrial solvent and a taste not too far from gasoline. The cheap Canadian brandy was the best. It was pretty good. The point is, these glasses work the way they are supposed to and look good. I prefer whiskey and as Ogden Nash once said "candy is dandy but liquor is quicker"

Leider ist eines der 4 Gläser am Rand beschädigt angekommen. Dies habe ich schon einmal mitgeteilt. Keine Antwort vom Verkäufer oder Amazon. Sehr ärgerlich.Rim of one glas chipped on arrival. No answer to my complaint

Lovely glass. Nice size. I’m very happy with the glass. It’s so light in weight and, if you get what I mean , in taste. You just experience the brandy/cognac and not the glass. I would buy this product again in a heartbeat. Love it! Thanks guys x
