Just bought it but haven't used it yet. I'm excited to try it out!

Definitely worth the money. You get what you pay for but at this price you cannot go wrong.

This gauge is a much lighter construction than our Swanson gauge but for the price I am pleased with the quality and workmanship

Thumb screw did not loosen once tighten easily. Quality was weak not refined.

This combination square is quite versatile with the various heads to use. It is great for determining angles and make accurate transfer from one piece of wood to another. It is more suitable for shop use as it seems somewhat frail to stand up to daily use on a jobsite in and out of a tool pouch. But it a useful tool for the cost.

this item Looked like it had a steel ruler with iron accessories and glass level for measuring.the only thing that was truthful was the stainless steel ruler period. the rest was either plastic or a composite like aluminum and some type of sticker to replace the actual engraved markings to remain "true" if the person that put the sticker on the compass was off even 1 micron then the whole thing is off. if your looking for accuracy look some place else. other than that it is all missing a case so dont bother buying this item.

Scale has poor finish for scribing lines, it was sheared from a blank and left unground, it might have been side-milled, but I can't tell and it's not straight. It's the only steel part that isn't a bolt or spring. All of the slide locks are gold colored anodized aluminum and definitely not brass. The rest of the components are light and soft non-ferrous white metal. I doubt they're even aluminum, they might be zinc. The channel the scale slides in for the combination square was off at least a full degree and I had to get out a needle file and correct it. The protractor's scale is off about two degrees, and the marking isn't a fine line, just a cast notch.I can make it work for the projects I have planned, but if you work in metals these won't be accurate enough. The parts are soft metal and you'll quickly scratch and burr them. That is if you're not busy throwing parts in the trash. Save yourself the headache and spend a little more. Doesn't have to be a Starrett, but if you're using tools like this often, buy once cry once.
