My teenage daughter had anxiety related to bipolar disorder. She has had some level of anxiety for a couple of years, but in the past few months, it had become difficult for her to leave the house and also had resulted in an irrational fear of natural disasters. We received the first bottle of L-theanine at a discounted cost in exchange for an honest review. We are now mid-way through our second (full-price) bottle. It has helped immensely! The anxiety is now manageable and is at a lower level than at any time since her bipolar disorder began giving her problems. We started with one capsule per day and saw some relief, then upped her dosage to two capsules per day. We do not use prescribed drugs to treat her bipolar disorder, and this is one of the most essential supplements in our toolbox. She sometimes used to resist taking the supplements, but L-theanine made her feel so much better, that it is no longer an issue. She is perfectly willing to take the supplements to get rid of that awful anxiety! I had to write a review for the initial bottle, but honestly I would have written one anyway in the hopes that our experience might help someone else struggling with anxiety.

Friends of a friend of mine highly recommended L-Theanine for sleep. They had run the gamut with sleeping pills and wanted something that worked well, without side effects. I went to Amazon and read the reviews; Superior Labs' reviews were the best, so I went with their formula. Having suffered from chronic fatigue syndrome for 30 years--and having built up a tolerance to all sleeping pills--I was desperate. A couple of weeks ago, my bottle arrived. I took one pill at 8pm (standard time for me with nighttime meds). However, it worked in reverse and was giving me energy! Thought my mind was playing tricks on me, so to speak, so 4-1/2 hours later, I took another Theanine and was up the entire night! My sleeping issue has not been resolved, and between natural products, OTC pills and prescription drugs, it seems like I've tried everything and have become immune. If anyone reading this has some good suggestions, please feel free to share. On the flip side, after reading the reviews and the label on the bottle more carefully, I realized Theanine might help me with brain fog and drowsiness because I am so sleep-deprived and cognitively stressed. So the next morning after have tried two of these for sleep, I took one at about 9am and have consistently been doing so for about 10 days now. It absolutely does make a difference, so I have something wonderful to assist me during the daytime hours - and that is a huge help. I will be a customer for life!!!!

Originally I was researching a product to help my house cats with tension and fighting. The vet recommended a very high dollar food, and after reading the ingredients, I opted out of that. I talked to our local health food store guru, who handed me a bottle of L-Theanine. He uses it for road trips for his dogs. It took me a week or so to get the dosage correct, and we are having great results for the felines. The 5 of them are not fighting each other for nap space or food or attention.And after seeing the calm change in the cats, and reading more about L-Theanine, I decided to try it for myself.I am getting amazing results!! I am more calm. I am able to think faster and with more clarity. I sleep better. As an added side benefit, I appear to be losing my taste for sweets. I read about that in body builder information, but was really surprised to find it was happening for me!!If you are reading about this amino after someone mentioned it might get you off anti depressants or ADHD meds, please read up, and find out!!

I purchased this product to help relax me to sleep better at night. I took it for a week at night. Within an hour I felt more relaxed, but then later my mind was more alert with more difficulty sleeping. From what I've read, it is possible that L-Theanine could contribute to insomnia. While L-Theanine is known for its calming effects and is often used to promote relaxation and better sleep, individual responses can vary. In some cases, L-Theanine may increase alertness or disrupt sleep patterns, especially if it affects neurotransmitters like serotonin, dopamine, or GABA in a way that isn't conducive to sleep for you. I'm sure this works great for some people but not for me.

I was very impressed with Superior Labs L-Theanine. I have used this supplement from 2 different manufacturers with different results. One, from major well know store brand, was fine; a second random online purchase was disappointing with stomach upset & seemed less effective.I have no issues with Superior Labs' product. I noticed the dose is just a little higher than typical, 250mg vs. 200mg. It seems to work well for me: no stomach discomfort, no spacey or dazed feeling the next day, just the desired calm focus at work & sense of relaxation at home. I use L-Theanine as a natural way to handle stressors of life; I find it is subtle yet effective...with a high quality product such as this one I do notice results.Now please know I am not a doctor or health professional & this is my opinion, not to be taken as health advice.Superior Labs is now my preferred brand. As I write this I do in fact have another bottle in my amazon cart.
