A DJI Action 4 will not fit
This item must have been designed for the original DJI Action camera years ago when it was smaller that the current range.My DJI Action 4 is too large to fit into this switch plate / the apature of the plate is too small to accept the camera.The idea would have been great at the time but newer Actions cameras will not fit.Sorry to have to return this because I now have to buy a £99 gimbal...

Perfect for my needs.
I watched a lot of video reviews about adaptors that didn't work, so I was starting to think it would be impossible to use my Osmo Action Camera with my Osmo Mobile 3. But then I found this product in a search and it looked more promising than the others so I took a punt on it. So happy I did, it's absolutely perfect for what I use it for. Taking short videos, 3 to 5 minutes long of people social dancing at my dance club. I can walk around and between them and still get silky smooth professional looking 4K videos. I can see the points the other reviews say about not being able to open the charge port while the camera is in the adaptor but this doesn't effect me for what I use it for. If you use it so much that you flatten the battery then I'd recommend keeping another battery to swap in. Worth saying I didn't have to remove any weights from the compartment, it seems to be the right amount already. It's a 3D printed product so maybe they vary slightly which could explain the bad reviews, but all I can say is that mine fits the Osmo Action Camera and the Osmo Mobile 3 perfectly.

Best solution so far.
The media could not be loaded. Thought this is an excellent product.. For the ones who want to use the osmo 3 with the action camera... But personally I think the osmo 3 is the perfect partner to a smart phone for which it is designed for.. Nothing is gonna replace all the extra features you get by using a smart phone..

Great adapter but has one small negitive
Great adapter for the Osmo action cam, I'm not given it 5 stars because the battery compartment is blocked it would be nice to use for long stationary shots. If your looking for that it will be the Pgytech adapter. But this does the job for those who are on the move and use a spare battery to swap out. I have both.

It works to do motion lapse and 3axis filming
It works I’m now able to do a motion lapse from my dji mimo app on my osmo mobile 3 combined with either hyper lapse and time lapse on my osmo action I’m trying to work out the best . The worse thing is this the weight means limited in the y axis on the osmo mobile and cannot access side buttons
