I bought this book for my husband who took up growing dahlias in his retirement. The book is beautiful and filled with wonderful information for anyone starting out, or is experienced in growing dahlias. The photographs are gorgeous. I would recommend this book if you plan on gardening or it would be a great book as a gift for someone who has?a dahlia garden.

I purchased this book because I wanted to grow a beautiful cut flower garden. I was a bit late in planting the tubers this year but they did not disappoint! Instructions and suggestions were clear. What I also did was check what type of soil I had. I have heavy clay soil and the tubers will need the perfect aeration to avoid rot. I created a Raised garden bed, added rich organic soil mixed with bark chips and planted the tubers, then added drip irrigation. The results are in the photo! That was my first dahlia and there are four more blooms trailing behind!The book is amazing! Thank you to the author for taking the time to share the joy and beauty behind growing dahlias!
