Aladdin Soundtrack

The physical disc is a Christmas gift so I cannot rate on that yet but the digital copy that came with it is really good.

Disney animated movies have a slew of great songs like "Under the Sea" from Little Mermaid, and all fun songs from Mulan and Beauty & the Beast, but for an entire soundtrack I like Aladdin. The two Robin Williams songs - which you can only get if you get the whole album or order the CD - "A whole New World," "One Step" and more are just great fun! You even get the quick Monologue from Williams talking about the lamp that opens the movie. Plus some of the instrumental tracks are great mood-setting music. If you are a fan of the film, you will enjoy the soundtrack!

Can’t find this in stores. And it came with a digital version. Great value for the money.

This album is amazing. This is a great buy. You need to buy this now asap. You will love it and so will your child.

While I've never seen the Aladdin movie itself, I grew up watching the TV series, which is what got me liking the music. This CD brings back those days, but with a minor faux pas on the first track. "Arabian Nights", as is on the CD is actually the original version that got cut from the movie's score before the movie was released. Unfortunately, whoever orchestrated this CD used editing, and rather bad editing at that, to put the original lyrics into this song. I would have loved to have both versions of Arabian Nights, however in reality I get neither the movie version nor the unedited original version, but instead a mishmash of both.The rest of the songs are what you'd expect, though for the life of me it seems to lack Jafar's songs (I've heard these before and wonder why they aren't on a Special Edition CD). I really only wanted the CD for about five of the songs, and sadly one of the songs I like the most (Arabian Nights) was mangled to death with poor editing. Why they didn't go the route of both versions separately like they did with the two versions of A Whole New World is beyond me.All in all, a great CD, if you can get over the sloppy first track. :)

A great soundtrack from a classic movie, exactly what I was hoping for. This soundtrack is a step up from some others in that in addition to the songs everyone loves, you also get selections from the score, which was a pleasant surprise. If you loved the movie (who didn't), you'll love this soundtrack. Not as detailed or packed with additional features as some of Disney's recent soundtrack releases, but for the price there's nothing to complain about.The additional bonus song and karaoke tracks were a very nice plus.

I collect soundtracks, and in the past few years, Disney has had some great ones. My daughter likes to listen to this particular cd when she goes to bed. As a special edition cd, it also contains some tracks that are not actually in the movie, as well as makes some songs a little more 'politically' correct. How do I know this? I originally brought this soundtrack when it was first released way back when on cassette, and some songs have been altered/worded differently since. Its ok though, as with the re-release of the movie, they made the alterations there as well...Anywho, a good buy in my opinion.

Aladdin is one of my favorite childhood Disney movies and I love the soundtrack. I had this soundtrack on cassette tape when I was a kid, and I decided it was time to get it on CD and digital. I love the bonus tracks on the second disc. There are so many other songs, some auditions and some songs that didn't make it into the movie. The disc is masterfully mixed and everything is great, professional quality.If you like the Aladdin movie, you must buy this soundtrack. It will take you back to being a kid again. :)
