I’ve got AT&T fiber (using the AT&T modem) and the Netgear Nighthawk AX6 RAX54v2 (AX5400) (RAX50) 6-Stream WiFi Router (Costco purchase), both installed on the 2nd story. We experienced one area in our home where the WiFi just wasn’t very strong. It reached this area, but download speeds were slow. I read about the Netgear AX1800 eax15 extender, and thought why not give it a shot.Well, after installing the Netgear extender the slow WiFi spot went from 50Mbps to 550Mbps! So, yes, it works for me.Since I already use Netgear’s Nighthawk app with the router, I thought maybe there’s a way to add their extender using the app. Well, sure enough there is!Here’s how to set up the Netgear extender with the Nighthawk app: Open the Nighthawk app and tap the 3 lines in the upper left-hand corner, tap ‘Set Up a New Nighthawk System’, then select the ‘Range Extender’ product. The Nighthawk app will easily walk you through the remaining steps. The entire setup took about 15 minutes.I hope this helps.

This thing was a piece of crap from the beginning. It continuously dropped the 5G, and I let it go for a while, about 30 days until I had time to sit down and work on it. It will no longer reset, and does not broadcast it's SSID, and when I called Netgear technical support a very smug person of the male persuasion who I'm sure his name was Bee A s * +* d, very smugly told me that I need it to have a subscription of $15 a month in order for my range extender to connect to my own network and work, lol! There was no explanation for it working partially for the previous 30 days.Mr b claimed that this information was on the box. I didn't get a box. I did get instructions, and at no place anywhere in any of the instructions is there anything stating that I had to have a subscription to connect a device that extends the range of my network.There is a subscription service, but not for this application!The man was obviously playing a fool simply because I was a woman and thought that I would just glibly fall for whatever nonsense he was spewing. Once I advised him that I had done IT work in the past, built my own computers and networks, he became very smug and insulting, stating things like 'You're such an expert." And " You're so smart."I have seen and experienced literal toxic masculinity in my lifetime, and I don't accept it. I have never, ever experienced it as a customer calling tech support, and after spending 10 years working phones in customer support, I would never allow this kind of nonsense to happen.I don't know what kind business lowers the standards of quality to the point of poorly functioning products, and the most agregious customer service I have ever encountered, but it's helped me decide I will never buy another Netgear product as long as I live and I will tell everyone I know why that is.

This item is exactly what ive been looking for. Its the perfect extender for my old home which has some very poor connection areas. This product allows me to get perfect connection anywhere and the app makes it so easy to keep track of everything.

We live in a valley and WIFI is an issue. This definitely helped us but we eentually needed a new router.
