Print is a nice size and LOTS of different foods!
One of my favorite things about this book is that it doesn't try too hard. The author only lists a few details on each food–calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, cholesterol, sodium, and fiber–which leaves room for lots of food listings without having to resort to tiny print. This book list all kinds of foods, from basic ingredients like buckwheat flour and parsnips, to national brand prepackaged mixes and frozen entrees, to many chain and fast food restaurant foods, which was more than I expected. I just wanted a book with the basic foods, but the extras are a nice bonus.I keep it on my kitchen counter so I don't have to run to my computer every time I want to figure out the calorie counts of something like eggs. I'm glad I bought it. It was a good deal for the price.

Good for basic reference
Good selection of foods and some of the nutritional facts. The book works for the information I needed.

Disappointing
For a book as thick and presumably comprehensive as this, how could it skip SUGAR? The tiny type is also annoying. Not as useful as I had hoped.

Informative.
Packed full of excellent information. My only complaints is I wished it was in hardcover or stronger binding. As it is this paperback may not last long with frequent use before the spine cracks. I also wish she had added a catagory for sugar for each item. Other than that, it's well worth the price.

Great Book
Grandson wanted to lose weight (after pandemic) and this is a great learning tool for him. He can look up whatever he wants to eat and see not only calories, but fat, sugar, carbs, etc. Easy to understand and easy to find the foods listed.
