Our cars have speedometers that are well below the drivers eye line, causing you to have to keep glancing down to check your speed.With this device clipped to the top of the instrument panel your speed is now in your eye line ad for those people who wear vari-focal glasses you do not even have to move your head to read it. Also it self dims in dark or gloomy conditions.Kmh or Mph it seems to be very accurate it's only downside being a bit slow on start up to access the satellite signals.

I bought this to reduce the problem in London with 20mph zones. Driving while constantly checking the speed is dangerous and a head up display reduces the time spent with eyes off the road. This gadget does that well and it adjusts to ambient light very well, remaining visible but non glaring in all light levels. It is a bit slow - and much slower than my phone - to find and interpret satelite signals so is slow to start working when setting off. The information available seems to indicate that it only uses the Chinese satelites which may account for this slowness. Don't be confused by the reference to the OBD port. This only supplies power and has no connection with the car computer.

When powered on, the HUD flashes with satellite number zero and fails to connect to GPS. Due to this, device is useless and does not work, never gives a speed reading. Do not buy this overpriced trash

I thought that this item may not work in bright sunlight but it performs amazingly. The numbers are very clear and the read out is excellent. I was able to check the speed accuracy when driving by those road speed detectors which give you a speed read out and if you are speeding or at the right speed. This was very accurate and matched the speed the detector was displaying. I am happy with my purchase. I use it with a USB car charger so that it works every time my car is started. I don't have to worry about those messy OBD ports... USB all the way! It comes with a handy piece of Velcro (hook and loop both) so you can detach the unit from the dash if you want. No negatives so far.

It's very simple to set up. All you need is a USB connection. It doesn't use the ODB2 port, so you can use a power outlet with a USB adapter. The display is bright and clear.It takes about 5 to 10 seconds to acquire satellites. After that, it seems to keep a lock very well. The speed is as accurate as my phone GPS.However the time display is another thing. I can't get it to work at all. The setting for the hour and minute just don't work. It's a shame, because otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

I used this for my Punto as the speedometer is too low to read the speeding, reason why I bought this as I can see clear on top of my dash.The speed is MPH/KMPH are accurate unless if is not perfect, you can adjust the speed to match your real speed.GPS is work well with attitude of feet.Adjust the brightness or auto adjust, depend on brightness of outsideIt only works with USB.I can't find any faultless with this, but the adhesive is a bit weak, I used my Gorilla adhesive tape, so I am very happy.

It takes mostly few minutes or sometimes up to 5 mins to search for enough satellites to operate. However, even after adjusted, it showed much faster speed when it's over 40mph. Little useful for those 30 or 20mph roads.

I brought this for when driving my French car in the U.K. Do not want to get caught speeding!!
