Used this to mount my Tripplite power supply for my studio desk. Works for what I needed it for and it’s just that, has the square holes so you’ll need to get rack clips and matching rack bolts to mount your hardware. The Tripplite is not deep in the rack so a horizontal mounting has worked fine.

I needed to add a quality CD player to my home studio for playback of my CD collection. Real estate is very limited on my desktop for space so I determined I needed to do an under countertop mount. I looked at a number of 2U rack under mounts, but none of them could support the 9 pound weight of the new CD player. I came across the StarTech 2U mount and it had plenty of strength. Super easy to mount. Lifesaver solution! Highly recommended.

We use these in spots where it doesn't make sense to put a small enclosed network cabinet. This was a job trailer that is used as an office next to a machine shop that has been there for years. The dimwit network bro that went out there and installed it before had it installed on garage hooks on the opposite side of the wall over a guys desk.Bonus, if you are looking for those mounts we used on the UPS, you can find them here as well, search for "Oeveo Universal Mount 600-10H x 6W x 10D". They are great to keep the UPS off the floor so cleaning staff can safely mop and also put the UPS at a height where they are easy to operate and view the LCD screen.

This rack is very sturdy. The mounting holes to the wall are a little confusing as 2 of them are off center. The main holes are perfectly aligned on 16" centers and holding my server without hesitation.

Having purchased StarTech.com products (including a server rack) before, I figured I'd try this bracket to hang a switch. I was impressed with the high quality of bends and welds, and the powder coat finish. Solid build, straight steel, true 90 degree bends, and no sharp edges. I swapped out the included wall hanging screws for lag bolts and used it in a horizontal position to hang the switch below floor joists. [I figured if I could do pull-ups on it, it would hold a 2 lb switch.]About a week later, I was finishing up the network installation at a new build house. The builder installed wall cabinet was too small to fit all of the wiring and a network switch. It was a no-brainer to get another bracket to hang a switch vertically on the wall just outside the wall cabinet for a clean-looking installation that the homeowner can be proud of.Very happy with the product!

Next time, I'll use Monoprice Cat6 Punch Down Keystone Jacks (105384) because they have the zip tie slots.
