It did what I needed it to do
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I found some classic CDs at an estate sale but no longer have a CD player or computer with CD drive. Most newer computers don't have CD drives anymore so I bought this at a good price and imported the CDs easily with iTunes. It also came the same day. You most likely won't find one of these locally. I was using Windows 11.

The best worked perfectly with my 2024 MacBook Air I was able to import all of my grandfathers music into my computer I’m very happy. The CDs were all heavily scratched, and they were able to be imported and sound perfectly clear. I am very impressed and I highly recommend.

Easy to use burning CD's
Works well with windows 11 but not the newest media player, best if you use the legacy media player if you burn CD's. I Have not tried burning DVD's yet but will soon.

Great external DVD player
Worked perfectly with my brand new HP Elitebook.

Works, but connecting cable is way too short for many setups
I have used this device for several months and it seems to function well enough - I have had no breakdowns, and the quality of reproduction is fine. But the connecting cable is a mere 6 inches long, which is very short for many PC arrangements (I use mine with a desktop, and it was very awkward having to rearrange all of the things around my PC just so that I could plug the DVD into an available USB). Oh, and plugging the connecting cable into an extension lead does not work (I know, you will think it should, but it doesn't - perhaps an inpedance issue, but the DVD player will not play.) I would not buy this model again.

Hook up to laptop and then laptop to TV sometimes messes with it.
I've been using this for about a year to run my RC flight simulator on my laptop and it works great! It is a little weird when you hookup the laptop to the TV while you are using this CD player. It works but the TV screen will turn black if the laptop stays open too long. This could also just be my specific game that I run though (REALFLIGHT)
