AV Cooling System Application
I created a system to provide cooling for an AV cabinet in a closet. Components include Aventage, Emotiva and Oppo. The cooling equipment used includes:1. Noctua Fans (3) (model# NF-S12A PWM)2. Noctua Fan controller (model# NA-FC1)3. Noctua Extension cables (model# NA-SEC1)4. Cablemod's molex to SATA cable (model# CM-CAB-MSAP 45KK-R)5. Coolerguys AC power adaptor (110V AC to DC 12V Power Supply with 4 pin Molex)The fans are laid flat on top of the receiver and amplifier pulling air up through the units. Of course, the anti-vibration corner pieces protect the AV equipment and prevent the fans from moving around. There is approximately 4" between the top of each AV component and the shelf above. This seems to allow sufficient air circulation. All Noctua components were packaged nicely and functioned perfectly out of the box. Connections are solid. Using the fans full speed, they are very quiet and are effective in keeping the components at less than 82F degrees. The Noctua Fan Controller is tiny -- about the size of a man's thumb. When setting up the system, I reached out to Noctua for some technical assistance. They were prompt and provided excellent guidance on connecting the power supply to the speed control (Cablemod's connector). The Cablemod's cable has solid connections and functions well. The only thing that would be nice is an outer sheath to keep all four wires together for a cleaner appearance. The Coolerguys AC power adaptor appears well made and functions well to power the three fans.Overall, the system has been running for about 1 month and I am quite satisfied with each of the components and would recommend them to anyone looking for an effective cooling system for an AV cabinet.

Very solid construction
I used this to power 4x Noctua industrial fans on my server cabinet. With a glass front panel, the servers get starved for air, and I had to find a solution. This power brick was perfect, allowing me to power all 4 with ease. The construction is very solid, with the Molex end being unusually easy to work with and the pins are held in firmly. For anyone who has used the computer's Molex ports before, I'm sure you understand how irritating they can be to work with and how the pins all like to lean their own direction. Not so with this

Need a working Molex Power supply? LOOK ELSEWHERE.
Bought this as a backup, should have tested it before keeping. Now I am stuck with it. Good Scam Coolerguys. This is THE MOST shoddy and cheaply made electronics device i have EVER purchased. They do not even wire 2 out of the 4 power pins (only the 12v yellow and it's ground are wired, the other two are empty holes). I even had to shave down molex connector because the molding is several millimeters too large. No price was too cheap for the construction of this device I assure you. This device CAN ONLY EVER POWER OLD MOLEX IDE (and early SATA) HARD DRIVES. FORGET about using a SATA adapter. FORGET about powering your laptop hard drive. FORGET about, oh I dunno, doing ANYTHING that is part of a Computer hardware Technician's diagnostic job with this massive cop-out of a device.Pro's: The power box light turns on when power is provided.Con's: EVERYTHING ELSE

Worked great for 6 months and now dead
The PSU worked as advertised for the first 6 months and now it is dead. Tried all the support steps but no joy. I also purchase two other PSUs from the same seller and they are still working great. The seller has responded to the issue immediately and is sending a replacement. Nice service!

Great power adapter
I am using this to power three 120mm fans I have in my home theater component stand. I could have gotten away with one that offered less amperage, but I like to always have more power than I need for future expandability. The power adapter seems to be built well and the 3-prong plug was a selling point for me compared to the 2000mA power adapter that just had a standard 2-prong plug.My fans are only drawing 50mA (0.05A) each.

Works fine. Ad did not explain that there are more than one type of four-pin connector. I had to buy a different fan to accommodate this transformer. Otherwise it works fine.

Works as designed so far
I've only been using this for a couple hours. But it does what I bought it for: powering the pump for my watercooling loop without having to use my PC PSU.The only thing that I would report is it takes a few seconds for it to power up. I thought it was broken at first.
