Excellent spray varnish, great coverage. No issues.
We have used the satin version of this varnish on many objects, ranging from sealing diamond art, spraying a wooden box that had been stained, spraying miniatures, stones and pebbles that have been decorated and painted. So many other objects have also been sprayed with this varnish.First thing to note, ventilation is very much needed. We typically do our spraying outside on a well prepared table covered with paper etc.Sometimes, if using over a paint we are unsure of, we apply a little of that paint on something disposable and test on that first. We can then gauge any reactions or shade variation etc due to the varnish.Typically we apply even coats, only applied thinly, and keep the can moving at a steady pace. The coverage is good and it is quick to dry.We often find the object is dry to touch if left overnight and completely solid, if many coats have been applied, over the next couple of days.We have had zero issues in using this spray, the gloss effect seems to be cumulative....a single coat not being too glossy but after several that is increased. It does remain satin though when compared directly to a gloss varnish.Do not apply too thickly, it will have a chance of running or produce "bubbles" within the thick coats. Also it can dry a milky white is too thick.Overall very much recommended if applied with care and, if needed, test coats etc used. The light reflecting of the box I have shown is more intense due to the light than it looks otherwise. It is less glossy than that when seen without direct light.I hope this has been helpful.

Quality
I’ve used a fair number of spray primers over the years, but The Army Painter Colour Primer in Ultramarine Blue has quickly become a go-to for painting blue-themed miniatures. What makes it stand out is that it serves as both a primer and a basecoat in one, saving time and giving a consistent colour foundation straight out of the can. The matte acrylic finish dries evenly and doesn’t obscure fine details, which is always a concern when spraying models with intricate features. The Ultramarine Blue tone is ideal for Space Marines or other armies that rely on rich, deep blue hues. It matches well with other paints in The Army Painter range, especially their Warpaints line, and works beautifully with their Quickshade Dark Tone for adding depth and contrast. The spray nozzle delivers a smooth application, avoiding the splatter or pooling that sometimes happens with cheaper brands. I find two light coats are usually enough to get solid, even coverage without hiding detail.Drying time is a touch longer than some other primers I’ve used, but the trade-off is a stronger finish and vibrant colour. Some painters may find it a little less saturated than Citadel’s Macragge Blue, but for my purposes, the balance between tone and texture is spot-on. If you’re painting a large batch of miniatures and want to streamline your workflow, this primer does a great job of setting the stage for detailed brushwork. Overall, it’s an excellent product that’s earned a permanent place on my hobby shelf.

Excellent spray paint. Quality service.
Edit: Replacement can arrived so quickly and it works perfectly. Thank you Army Painter (and thank you Amazon - for the incredibly quick delivery).Actual Product Review:The finish from this paint is beautifully smooth and clean and I have found it to be durable. Application is easy and you get excellent coverage.I have used Army Painter spray paint on a whole swarm of models now and none of them have had any problems with chipping or peeling from handling, tabletop use or transport.Aside from the defective can, which appears to have been just 'one of those things' as opposed to any indication of brand quality, I been very pleased with Army Painter spray paint and recommend it.Note:Do watch or read the tutorials as it is slightly different to your typical spray paint - particularly if you regularly use other brands of spray paint (you have to be closer to the model than you would usually be) and do perform the cleaning at the end of spraying to maintain longevity of your can.Original review:The can I received just a few hours ago was defective. No pressure. Paint just dribbling out. Totally unusable. The first tin of Army Painter Spray I bought was great. Still going strong and I was really happy with it. This is the second I have bought, and it doesn't work at all.I will be happy to improve this review if the returns policy works effectively and the next can works as intended. 'Army Painter' was recommended to me as a reliable brand so I am hoping this was just a bad tin and I got unlucky.Third times the charm!

Excellent
Bought to prime my space marines. Excellent coverage and 2 or three thin coats and it’s perfect. I buy white because for me the details are easier to see than priming it black. This is every bit as good as Warhammer a citadel range but costs less. This is absolutely my primer now

Careful with what you paint it on.
I used it on a funko pop and it dried with a gritty stoney texture while the plastic bin I used to stand it on was just a dry matte. So it would be great for texture on buildings just not on figures or assessories. Would have been nice to have been told what the outcome looks like.
