Fantastic!
Steel construction provides plenty of support. The self-opening and close function is the best thing going. I put 3 of them in my new home and would buy again.

Soft close
UPDATE: company offered to replace soft close part, however we had already replaced entire unit. Company was very accommodating on issuing refund. I ordered two of these and the other still works, so let’s hope it stays working!Pocket door has been installed less than two months and the soft close feature has already stopped working before we could hang up drywall. I’ve reached out to company so hopefully they will replace.

This kit is awesome and a bargain. Don’t let the low price discourage you!
Where my door was to go was a bearing wall with two plug-ins, light switch and interconnected smoke alarms, that wired thru the crawl space and attic. That took several evenings to complete, but once done the door was installed within three hours. Awesome, complete kit with foolproof instructions and a video on the buy site. I did add osb between the metal “studs” to stiffen the drywall but you wouldn’t necessarily have too.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality all around
Usually, when I buy something like this, it is either badly made or the instructions are bad. Neither of these were issues with this product. In fact, I built the frame into the wall based on the video included in the Amazon listing. Risky for sure, but everything worked as described and we love it.

Great product
Love these pocket door tracks, by far the best ones I have installed. I have purchased and installed a handful in the past 3 months. They work great and easy install, if you know what your doing or can read instructions. I will definitely buy more in the future.

Great product. Horrible instructions.
The media could not be loaded. I am a DIY veteran. I have renovated five houses and I’m convinced that with a YouTube video, well written instructions, and a little common sense, I can figure out anything. This pocket door is great once you get it put together, but I seriously do not know how they expect us to follow these instructions. First of all, the pictures are so faint, you can’t tell what part is what. Second of all, They call the parts by certain names in the instructions, but they don’t tell you in the hardware section what part has which name. For example, step number six, “place the first soft close actuator/trigger into the track.” What exactly is that thing, you’re wondering. Could it be , that faint little weird thing in the sixth box of the hardware included section? The illustrations don’t number the parts the way every DIY illustration I’ve ever seen does so that you can track back and see which part is relevant in which step. Ridiculous! They gloss over the part about adhering this to a cement floor. How about telling us what size tap cons we would need, and how many? The “support” is an email. No phone number, no YouTube video walking you through the steps. No QR code leading you to the instruction sheet so at least you could zoom in and actually see the diagrams. And don’t even think about watching the other brands’ YouTube videos because the hardware is different. It pains me to give this 1star because it is a good product. Now that I have it put together, I can tell that it’s high-quality and seems to be durable. I’m going to order another one and I have made extensive annotations to the instructions which I will keep to guide me the next time. This was so much more painful than it needed to be. Save yourself and order the Johnson one that has YouTube videos associated with it.
