I got a defective one but the company contacted me and I had a new one within a week.
The one I got was defective. I tested it 5 or more times. It seems like it's decent quality but I got a defective one. the company contacted me and I had a new one within a week. Haven't had a chance to test it yet but I think the first one was just a fluke.

Must have for making mash
Works great for making mash and proofing alcohol. Very simple to use and easy to read. Cleaning is quick and easy. Great product for the price.

Missing info
For the money, this is an excellent buy with one disappointing exception. It apparently will measure to 200 proof and is advertised to 200 proof. Yet the conversion chart that comes with the product only goes to 100 proof. So anything above 100 proof and you're going to have a difficult time. Calculating the chart really should have gone to 200 proof.So far I have not been able to locate a website or company contact where I could find out the upper half of the scale.

I think it probably works and if you like math you may like using it.
My buddy told me I had to buy one. Used it once. Haven't touched it since. I just don't care about the silly numbers, and percentages. I drink until I feel that I've drank enough. Sugar+yeast+water+time=good I just like to watch it bubble away on my coffee table.
