Working great but longing for USB 3.x
I wish WD would come out with a USB 3.x version. But in the meantime, this one is doing what I need it to do -- offload my cameras' SD cards files in the field.

Good concept and immature product
Pros:- You can access any file wireless and from multiple devices at same time- Option to store any new file directly to SSD instead of using device local storage- WD my cloud is good appCons:- Data migration is unreliable. I made numerous attempts to copy data from existing disk to this wireless SSD using USB and wireless methods and after about every 1.5 GB of data copy, It will give an error code -50- While deleting files, It will give an error "files are locked and check your system settings". System settings doesn't have any locking on, re-try, files are now deleted without any change in system settings- Quality of Data copied from any source is unreliable- You must be connected to same wifi connection in order to access data.Bottom line: My primary need to buy this product was to store my Data, which is historical and precious to me and this device didn't earn my confidence to handle my data well. I can't rely on it. Uses was cumbersome that to after paying a premium price.Returning it to amazon.

Great product
Great product. Works well with lots of features and capabilities. A little pricey but worth getting backups when traveling.

may have been okay when it launched but a poor choice in 2021
if you're considering to buy this, buy something newer. the hardware is aging and it shows. the streaming speed is slow and software is very buggy. the storage /dollar ratio is poor at best.

/ great potential but doesn’t inspire any confidence
This was my first time trying a product like this where you can transfer your files straight from the SD card. Overall, this is a good product with great potential.Pros:- Let’s you backup your SD cards without having a computer which is great for traveling.- It feels well builtCons:- The battery drains too quickly. I don’t know if that was just mine or if they’re all of that. It seemed like mine was draining power even when it was off.- Because of the battery dying, one of the SD cards didn’t get fully get copied. At the time I didn’t know this had happen until I got home and the pics and footage were no where to be found. This didn’t inspire any confidence in the product.- Its expensive. $500 and $800 is a lot. I know it’s an SSD but that’s a lot for 1 and 2TB.- Video stream isn’t that great. I didn’t buy this to stream videos but I did try this feature and it’s too laggy.Overall, this is a good product with great potential but if the product is about backing up your files on the go, where you’re at, it needs to inspire confidence that your file is 100% backed up. What I learned is when you back up your SD’s, make sure this drive is plugged into a power source.

failed To meet expectations.
So many promises this thing fails to deliver on. Truly disappointing.Streaming 4K video? Doesn’t even stream 1080p video!!!Great for downloading, storing and backing up files on the go.Good battery life. But using it as a mobile editor? Hardly! For what it does well, it’s excellent. For what it promises to do but fails... less than 1 star.Using 1yr old iPad Pro... shouldn’t be any issues.

Worth the cost
We travel quit a bit and take lots of pictures. This is a great device to store them on. Secondly it is fast.

Obsolete
* Still can’t display Canon’s .CR3 format several years after .CR3 introduction.* Can’t display iPhone .HEIC format.* Can’t import from a USB card reader (CFExpress, e.g.); reads only SD cards plugged into the device.* No firmware updates have been issued, making it look like an orphaned product.* Good idea so poorly executed that it is useless to me and sits on a shelf.
