Bought it for road trip to California. (Their gun laws suck) Paired it with kinetic nylon projectiles. .68 cal at 300+ fps velocity for the first few rounds and diminishes slightly with each round as the co2 cartridge depletes. 7 round magazine. 1 co2 cartridge will launch about 3 full mags.Easy to load/reload. While it looks like a toy, it is a serious security piece when a firearm is not available. Decent quality. I'd recommend it. Just realize the limitations of less-lethal equipment. Cost is good compared to other similar equipment.

This self-defense tool is well-designed and intuitive (though the user manual is not the best). After being physically incapacitated by a series of injuries, I realized the very real need to protect my family and home. This product The Saber Home Defense Launcher. Does indeed work well very well not to loud, no recoil. It hits hard enough to repel a would be attacker that’s not even including the mace/pepper balls. From a full CO2 cartridge it will reach with accuracy a distance of about 40/50 feet with force. And I have found that it will give roughly 14 shots per cartridge. With one draw back to it’s design that I have found being upon reloading the magazine there is no way to my knowledge of not prematurely discarding the CO2. Maybe if enough people speak on it they will bring a new method of reloading. Still I have to say that no household should be without at least one. After all it is still Non- Lethal.

I bought this as a coyote deterrent after an attack on my neighbors dog. It works very well with the training rounds for just this purpose. It was easy to dial in and packs a punch without being lethal. Highly recommend.

I was wanting a home defense weapon that was an alternative to a true firearm and this looked interesting to me. After getting it I realized it's quite large compared to what I'm used to firing but that hasn't been a problem at all while using it. In fact, it feels very secure in my hand and I feel confident it won't be easily taken out of my hand. The dummy rounds shoot straight and it wasn't difficult for me to hit a target 50 yards away, I can't speak to the pepper shots though as I still haven't used them. I also can't completely speak to how effective the pepper shots will be, but if they hold up to the Sabre standard for their pepper products, then they will work great when in need. Overall it's a well made item that is simple to use and a reliable product.

I was aiming at my trash cans. From about feet 👣 30 away , it made a painful thump. Shot again, I missed the trash cans , it went past the garage through the alley, in the neighbors yard & hit right under their window on the wall. I still heard the impact. I don’t know if this is something you would play paintball with but it would definitely be felt .I didn’t use the pepper ball. No need . I purchased practice rounds. My only complaint is the practice rounds cost the same as 9mm ammo. That really sucks. But it’s worth it. Really fun Adult non-XXX toy.Update.After actually using it it malfunctioned and is no longer useful. I would not recommend this to anyone looking for an less lethal alternative. My original post was using it once , which was really good. But this tool unfortunately will not last beyond its first use. I would recommend purchasing from another vendor or product all together.4-19-2025

I purchased this for my husband , he has been looking for a non-lethal option for personal protection and home defense. He is impressed with the quality of the product and how easy it is to use.
