Worth every penny!!
This is the best, most affordable espresso machine ever. Even my husband who does not like more than 2 steps to make coffee in the morning loves it and says its totally worth the extra steps to make his morning vanilla lattes. He is hooked! Easy to set up and I love the self cleaning after every use. I'm saving so much money not having to buy kcups and it's so much healthier for us than heating plastic with the Keurig cups. Highly recommend!!

Stopped working after 6 months, but was fixed at repair facility
Stopped working after approx 6 months. Machine was delivered to Delonghi repair facility and since then I have no new information about my machine since they are not answering me for a week now...Update:Okay, got the machine back from Delonghi repair facility and it's now working again and seems like even faster than before :) Machine was returned back in the same condition I sent it (no damage, no scratches found) and fixed, awesome!

Stopped working, terrible customer service
This shipped perfectly well from the DeLonghi store on Amazon to my overseas military post office. Every service member in my area has to have a post office box. That doesn’t mean items get crammed into a box. It just means that you have to go to a post office window to pick up your box. It’s pretty cut and dry. While I was really excited for this machine, it completely stopped working within four months of purchase. Machine continues to turn itself on and off mid cycle. After an entire month of back-and-forth with customer service, they have come to the conclusion that the warranty does not apply to me any longer because of my physical location. They are stating they cannot ship packing materials for me to send this back for a repair to any post office box and even if the item was repaired, they cannot send it to me because I live overseas. So an entire espresso machine can be shipped to my post office box but they cannot ship packing materials??Their solution is that when I’m finished my military service I return to the states and take care of it then. That will be way past the warranty. Make this makes sense please. I spend almost $1000 on a coffee machine that broke within four months and there’s not a single thing they will do to help me. Completely refusing my request for a refund. It was great while it worked, although even the extra large coffee was still small in size comparatively.I raved about this machine initially and intended to buy several for home, warming gifts, but will never do business with this company again.

So Happy!
I'd been contemplating an automatic espresso machine for several years. I weighed all of the obvious factors, read (and watched) lots of reviews, and late in December this one ticked all of my boxes. When it arrived, I unpacked it immediately and placed it in the spot I'd designated. But when I looked at the enclosed instructions, I paused. It was intimidating.A day or two later, I got back to it. Surprise, once it was plugged in, the machine itself guided me through what I needed to do. (Later I learned that it would prompt me to add beans or water, to empty the waste, clean the carafe, and otherwise do whatever needed to be done.)Not only are there lots of preprogrammed options, it's easy to make things up as I go along. For example, I can dispense hot water, brew tea, then dispense a latte into it. I've learned that I like doppio with frothed milk.In the beginning, I was using glass mugs I already owned, just to see the layers. But my drinks were cooling faster than I wanted them to, so I bought insulated ones. The machine came set to the highest temperature, prewarming one of the new mugs with hot water was all that I needed to be able to savor whatever I'd made for myself.

Just got the machine setup. So far so good. Internal boxes inside the Amazon box arrived damaged.
I've been watching video after video of which super-automatic espresso machine to get. I settled on this one as it appears to have the best combination of features, and Amazon had it at a decent price (snagged it for 925 usd on a limited deal sale). When it arrived, it was packed in a typical Amazon shipping box. This outer box is undamaged. The machine is then packed in a Delonghi cardboard box (outer-brown color), and inner blue Delonghi box, so a double-box inside an Amazon box. After unboxing from the Amazon box, I noticed a pretty decent size gash in the outer Delonghi box, on the bottom of the short side (front). Worried the machine was damaged, I opened it, and took out the blue Delonghi box - this box also had a gash in the same spot, so whatever cut into these boxes was pretty big. Now I'm really concerned the machine is damaged. I carefully remove the packaging, look everything over, and it seems ok. From what I can tell, all the included parts are there.Likely this was damaged at the Amazon warehouse or somehow in their package handling process.I did see on some review videos that Delonghi includes some sample coffee in the box, I did not get that. From what I can tell, it doesn't look like the boxes were opened and resealed. The picture of the machine in the Amazon description also shows 2 small glass and 1 large glass cups in the item listing. These were not in the box.Continuing to setup the machine, I'm following the directions, remove all the packaging, situate it on the counter, and power it on. So far so good. One of the steps it asks you to complete is to setup the internal water tank filter. The directions say to run water into the top of the filter until it's full. I could not get any water to go into the filter. If I shake the filter, I hear a power inside, but the water won't go inside from a faucet. The next step it says to submerse the filter in the tank and get the air bubbles out - again, I could not do this, the filter would just float as there was no water inside the filter. Even if I held the filter down in the water, I couldn't get it to work.I kept going, and inserted the filter into place as shown. The machine then wants to run some flushes. It said to place a container under the water and coffee spouts. Run the flush. The machine started pumping, but made this really loud (unusually loud) pumping sound, like something was jammed. No water was coming out of the water spout - water did however come out of the coffee spout. I pulled the water spout out and placed it again. For some reason, the machine wanted to repeat the flush, then it seemed to work ok.I've had that machine in use now for a few days. I still don't know if whatever damage happened to the boxes caused any internal damage to the machine. This is my first Delonghi, so not sure if the machine is behaving as it should. I'm just worried some time down the road I'm going to have problems and won't be able to get resolved as a warranty claim.
