Having watched lots of 'audiophile' type review videos online, I wasn't expecting much from these speakers when I ordered them but was swayed by the positive reviews thus far.I had originally intended to buy some passive speakers, a separate amp, DAC and network streamer and run TIDAL through a wired connection but with an entry level setup which gets only moderate reviews online starting at around £450+, I decided to get setup instead with a bluetooth connection through some active speakers, thinking that if it turned out to be naff, I could either just use the speakers on my PC, replacing my cheap Sony single speaker I have for that purpose currently, or send them back.The speakers arrived, I took them out of the box, connected them up to each other and paired them via bluetooth with my PC initially. I streamed a few songs and yeah they sounded ok but nothing special. My first impression was that they weren't loud enough. However, they were only right next to each other and almost at floor level, so I placed them in their intended positions either side of my 55" TV, also connecting them up to the HDMI ARC port on the TV.I tested how they sounded with the TV, playing a movie (the source was my Sky stream puck to the TV then the speakers HDMI wired from the TV). With the speakers now about 5-6ft apart and placed at roughly eye level, and the bass and treble adjusted to my liking, they sounded much better. The stereo was clearly defined and the overall sound quality was quite impressive - but still too quiet for me.It didn't sound to me like I was getting 50w RMS per channel out of them - I'd previously used a ROKU Streambar to provide my audio from the TV and it had been far louder, so I thought something was wrong somewhere. I had a bit of a delve online for possible issues and as a result, I went into my Sky Stream audio settings and changed the audio output from 'Auto' to 2.0 Stereo. Problem solved! Similarly, I changed my TIDAL settings to 2.0 stereo and again, problem solved.I have now spent the best part of a day, since setting them up yesterday, sitting here listening to VEVO music videos, watching a movie and streaming music from TIDAL both on my PC and phone, on the bluetooth connection. I warned my neighbours I was testing them out and cranked the volume and they provide more than adequate volume for a medium size lounge. The sound quality is great - the bass is adequate if not earth shattering and i'm really pleased I went down this route first rather than spend much more as I mentioned earlier. I'm more than happy with the result. Do I think a die hard audiophile would find their £1,000+ setup superior? Yeah, for sure. However, i've been a music lover for many years, had £2k separate system in my old house a few years ago, a monster in-car system about the same time, and i'm chuffed with these. They do not embarrass themselves in the slightest.During the setup process with my TV, I did try using the bluetooth connection to provide audio but found it lagged behind the visual a bit. However, looking online, I don't think this is necessarily a speaker issue as there are plenty of people complaining on the Samsung forum that they have the same issue.I would recommend these speakers wholeheartedly.

Arrived on time, undamaged.Unfortunately, I did not realise that in order to connect to my amp I needed passive speakers and these are powered.Am so disappointed that they do not make passive speakers in the same design.Sadly I had to return them and buy passive replacements.

Bought to replace a 5 year set of iBox speakers used on my TV. Excellent sound. Bass is very punchy and I can feel it through my chair. Mids and highs are very good with no loss or muddling due to the bass as so often happens. Dropped a star off for 2 reasons. Firstly there is no mute button on the remote control. This is a bit annoying when you have to lower the volume instead. Second downside is the build quality. Casing is hardened plastic and not wood so they have a less premium feel. My iBox ones are solid wood and feel much better quality. More weight and a sturdier build helps with better sound. Aside from those points I'm very happy with them. Bluetooth is faultless. No break up. Remote is nice with a small LCD to show inputs, volume etc. Has a limited EQ of Music, Movie and Voice. All controllable from the remote. Only addition I made to them was to change the pads underneath. The pads on them were quite thin I found the was causing bass feedback from the cabinet they are on. I replaced them with thicker rubber isolation feet and this instantly resolved the issue. Saves transferring bass through the cabinet and floor and annoying my neighbour downstairs. A very good purchase.

Superb loud sound with great bass

Perfect price, Stylish looks, and very surprising sound, I set these up hard wired to my pc and music movies and games sounded exactly as I expect.I’ve been into DJing a long time and know how speakers should sound and for 100 quid this is a no brainer purchase.I wanted a pair to compliment a retro pc build theme I was making and they look awesomeHighly recommended and sound much more expensive than they cost. Well made and the remote is very responsive to.

I bought a Vonyx Verve for semiprofessional use but found it was great to use with my home devices. However you can't get stereo out of a single speaker. I have connected the Roxel Novas to the audio out on the Verve and the end result is unbelievably good. I now have crystal clear stereo across a great dynamic range.The connection options that the Novas have mean that they are very versatile and you can easily control the whole lot from the comfort of your chair using the remote. It has allowed me to connect everything together using analogue connections all the way back to my turntable. I'm digging out my old vinyls and I'm finding it hard to believe how good they sound with this set up. Well worth the money.When the speakers arrived it was obvious that the primary carton had been opened and resealed. Everything inside looked new especially as the wiring had obviously never been used. However I couldn't find a manual. I contacted Roxel through their website and they sent me a pdf manual by return. It's good to know that they are on the ball if things aren't right.
