Great Monopoly game set!
I absolutely love Monopoly! It came with all the right pieces, great price considering it’s such a popular game still. This was for my client, I work with kids, so I’m always mobile so I carry it with me on the job. It carries somewhat heavy but its in a smaller box than the first generation game that’s in the longer boxes, however it’s still much better! I recommend this if you’re looking to get a cool set! I like how the loose game pieces have their own caddy tray that has a cover that snaps securely down as well for easy and efficient clean up.

A great back-to-basics refresh, despite a slightly damaged box
Recently, I had purchased the new expansions for Monopoly (Buy Everything, Go to Jail, and Free Parking Jackpot), and wanted to complete the collection with the new 2025 refresh of classic Monopoly. Upon purchasing it, and opening the box for the first time, it was exactly what I had thought it would be: a back-to-basics refresh, with a lot of stuff reverting back to pre-2008 Monopoly, while keeping things modern. Some of the Chance and Community Chest cards have changed slightly, but they have otherwise reverted back to the classic cards (before 2021, when the entire Community Chest deck was revamped), and bringing back their classic colors. The title deeds take on the more square shape of pre-2008 editions of the game, the pieces are slightly bigger, and there's a new property on the board. Oriental Avenue, the first light blue property, is now Rhode Island Avenue. All of the post-2008 changes (brown properties rather than purple, flat $200 Income Tax, increased $100 Luxury Tax, black "GO" space, custom currency symbol in place of the "$") remain in place.I especially love the new banker's tray that keeps things much more organized than before. There's even a lid on it now, to keep pieces from scattering about, and it's embossed to show what goes where. While the look, pieces, and gameplay are all perfect, my one very slight gripe, is that the box was slightly damaged when I received it. In fairness though, this may have something to do with the way the game was packaged -- inside a plastic envelope, rather than a cardboard box. Oh well, you can't win 'em all, but even with that one slight hiccup, it's still a great back-to-basics refresh of the classic game. Definitely worth the buy!

This IS the 90th Anniversary Edition
Apparently, the makers thought simpler is better. I like that thought. Nothing fancy; just very minor changes. Now comes 2035, and the 100th anniversary edition.
