These work very well, but are a bit fiddly to calibrate perfectly. Strongly recommended!

I bought a set of these when I just started wheeling my Jeep WK2 in 2020. I had them calibrated to 20 psi and they did the job plus-or-minus about 2psi, which is good enough for off-roading. I traded in my Grand Cherokee for a Wrangler Rubicon, and moved up to 35" tires. I needed to lower the deflation point to 15 psi and after a few annoying attempts they're all set. I will say that adjusting them "just-so" can be a bit of a pain in the backside but take the time to do it right and ensure the jam nuts lock the settings in.Now in 2025 I want a second set for sand that will take me down to 10 psi, and a third set for washboard/gravel roads at 25 pounds so I will be ordering two more sets this week. I'm hoping the new ones will be as solid and reliable as the originals. These look identical to the $99 Staun kit, but I didn't feel like spending that much since these do such a good job. My experience has been that after threading on the fourth deflator, the first one was just about finished deflating to 20 psi on my old car's 265/75R18s. For my 35x12.50x17s it takes a little bit longer but not all that much. Saves a lot of kneeling down with the core-removal style deflators, although they work just fine as well, and that still gives me plenty of time to chat with my fellow 'wheelers at the trailhead. All in all I've been extremely satisfied with these and can recommend them wholeheartedly--at least the ones from 2020. If the new ones are equally good I'll be equally happy. Also, be sure to clean them out especially after airing down in sand or deep mud. You want to ensure nothing gets inside them!

Excellent Tire Deflators for the Money

I frequently drive out on the beach to surf and/or fish (about 3-5 times per week.) Prior to purchasing these, I would either sit and deflate each tire by hand. It's slow and if you have any knee or back issues, it isn't comfortable.I purchased these as a Christmas gift to myself since they were on sale for $20.Setup is pretty easy. I first manually deflated one of my tires down to my desired pressure. (15 PSI for me). Screw the deflator on and slowly loosen the cap until you start to hear air come out. Tighten the cap just enough so air stops escaping. Tighten the lock ring to the cap and you're all set. What usually would take me about 15 minutes to deflate now takes five minutes. They are made of brass and definitely will hold up to the salty environment here at the beach. The kit comes with a tire gauge that's accurate within about 1 PSI of my other tire gauges. It also comes with a set of valve cores, a core removal tool, and two sets of valve stem caps. The carry case is a little flimsy, but the deflators come in their own little pouch that you can conveniently put pretty much anywhere (I keep mine in the sunglasses holder.)I do have one minor gripe: It's very easy for the lock ring to loosen, especially if you accidentally drop a deflator, and then your adjustment is now out of whack. Not a big deal, just don't be as clumsy as I am.All in all, I really like these and you can get 5 sets of these for the price of a set of Stauns (which more or less do the same thing).A couple tips I have:1. Set your deflators 1 PSI lower than what you actually want. The last bit of air to get out of the tires takes a long time before the deflator shuts off. Once the air is barely trickling out, remove the deflator and you'll be right at your desired pressure. This saves you a couple minutes of waiting for the valve to finally close.2. Don't use the adjustment cap to screw the deflator on, use the main body, otherwise you might accidentally make a pressure adjustment.3. Always, ALWAYS check your tire pressure after using the deflators to make sure they are functioning properly4. I'd recommend not driving with these deflators on. You'll run the risk of getting dirt/water/sand/mud in then and they may not work properly.

Good but defective thread

This works great, super convinient. But one of the valves on my copy is a defective with uneven threads. Be sure to check them before heading out on a trip.

Great function and cost!

I ordered these to use as deflators for my Jeep, to be used for offroad needs for lower tire pressure. I find the deflators to be nice quality, very fast, and about as accurate as a mechanical spring closure allows. You do have to manually set the final deflation pressure you want by manually adjusting the unit (and then you can lock it in with the included jamb nut). Once you lock them in, they are set but can easily be readjusted to whatever pressure you want. There are several good videos showing how to set these. It is as easy as it looks, maybe even more so. The included pressure gauge is accurate and well-protected by the rubber bumper, so hopefully will have a long life. The other accessories including extra valve stems and two different sets of caps, one set of 4 metal and another 4 plastic, are a nice addition. The case is not great as many note in reviews, but it will work for a while. I think these are a bargain all in all!

Work great and can’t beat the price

Work as described and a great price.Easy to set up. I set them up on an extra tire in my shop and checked each twice. Accurate within 2 lbs.I have always used the type that removes the core and slides to deflate and have 3 brands of them. Old knees don’t like squatting to do this as much as they used to so wanted to try this type without dropping $100 for the big brand.Used them at a trail ride last week and then checked pressure and all 4 within 2 lbs of each other. Very impressive for the price point. The gauge that comes with them is a couple pounds off compared to my calibrated gauge but so is almost every gauge I have including some decent digital ones so not a big deal. I didn’t buy for the gauge anyway.
